Casino Game:

I am dealt pocket A’s of As, Ac and I am sitting on the big blind on a $1/$2 table and already my big blind has been raised making the pot $33.00 when the guy on the button raise’s with a $10.00 bet. I call and on the flop comes, Ah 2d 2c. At this point I am thinking the guy at best has a pair of K's to my trip A’s along with the deuces giving me, ace high full house. I then bet another $20.00 and this guy raises another $10.00, I call and a 7h is dealt on the turn. It’s my turn to act so I throw another $20.00, the guy raises the pot with another $80.00. At this point I am so far into this hand that I have no choice but to go all in as he had me covered. At this point I am still thinking he has either has K's or trip 2’s at best, but was I wrong, I lost this hand on the flop to a pair of pocket 2’s giving the guy quad deuces.

YellCruelist thing I've even chosen to do for entertainment is play Texas Hold 'em.

Give me limit 5 card draw or limit 7 card stud.  Skill counts for more in those games and luck less.  Don't get me wrong . . . luck is still a biggie but not nearly as much.Money mouth

The buttons bet makes the pot $43.00,and, you call?  You have the best possible starting hand, your goal should be to eliminate all those limpers / posers, or at the very least win more $$$ RAISE!   $53.00 in pot now. With the numbers you provide there are 5 other players to act AFTER your call, all 5 now have ample reason to chase less than stellar hands with the pot laying them better than 5 to 1 odds on their $10.00 call (even better if more than 1 caller!).  RAISE with the hand you KNOW is in the lead NOW, bet the pot, or close to it.  With all those possible players my thought would be to re-raise the button $40.00 - $60.00 MORE!

If you take it down right there, your whole session is made profitable.  $1 + $2 ...  max buy in is ?? $200? maybe.  I would say $50.00 minimum raise, with an ALL-IN being a very reasonable move as well.  I know it can be hard to hear, but, what could YOU have done to alter the outcome to your favor?  Go down the list of possibilities, and, calling is not one of them with AA.

The best play here is to take it without a showdown, and, muck that monster FACE UP let them know if they fuck with you it's going to cost them their car payment.   Then you can afford to pay the blinds awhile without feeling you have to make something happen, and, if you do not get any good cards in the next hour wait for a bunch of limpers again then Raise big again with the intent of buying the pot, and, see how fast they all fold.

This all depends of course on all the variables. Are there players at your table  slow-playing  big hands?

How many hands have YOU been playing? For how long?  Have you shown down some weak cards?  Have you been catching a lot of big hands, and, been the action maker, or have you been calling too many?

I haven't come close to covering all the bases, I would love to hear the top to bottom analisys of AP Mike... He is sure to point out some obvious adjustments I am sure to have missed.  More details are always better, if you don't post them, were you considering them?  Stack sizes? Reads on the kinds of player you are playing against.   Time of day/night??? Yes it matters mostly pros/aspiring pros are playing midday, more drunks at 1a.m.

Look to yourself first. You are all that you control directly, be whatever you need to be to take their money.
