I am trying to get an idea of what type of prizes people would like to play for.  Would you prefer to play for smaller nightly prizes which in return would enable us to offer larger quarterly prizes such as ( trips, tournament buy ins, $2000 FREE ROLL, etc.) Would you prefer better nightly prizes such as ($20 to the nightly winner or giftcards for dinner or gas etc).  Please give us some idea as to what you are looking for and what you would like to see and expect from The Poker Pub.

I play for the trip to Las Vegas. A token prize, as you now give, is perfect. If the long term benefit is valued, I believe that solid players will be loyal contenders.

I have only played in one

I have only played in one tournament so far, but, I play for the points and a good time.  It seems people already take hands far too personal or serious sometimes, I can't imagine what it would look like if they were actually playing for something tangible that tournament.  Don't get me wrong - I like prizes.  Small prizes would be great!  I just get tired of sitting at free tables and hearing people rant and rave about what they believe was a bad play.  And I think you would hear it even more if there was a prize at the end of the tournament.

I thought the idea off giving the card protectors was a great idea and then being able to play for the seat through a series of tournaments is fine and good but the way I see it is if your going to tell your tournament directors to hand out the protectors you should at least keep them stocked up in them. I play mostly at Old Chicago in mesa and have won 2 tournaments since you started giving out the suit shaped protectors but the director tells me he hasn't seen any for weeks and I am not the only person who is asking about them and looking to recieve more then one. I guess what I'm trying to suggest is that if your going to initiate something stay on top off it and let everything be equal if you can't do it then just let everyone know that is it after all "Free Poker"
