Question:

I'm dealing and I've just shown the turn card.  Checks all around to the guy on my right who bets $300.  Table calls the bet.

I flip up the river card and it's checks all around.

Nobody wants to show their cards. (Turns out for good reason. Donkey hands all.)

Anyway who must show first?  Person to my left or the last to bet which would be the person on my right.Undecided

I cannot speak for poker pub, I do believe that in most $$$ environments, the last BET shows.

It would be a nice idea to include clarification on a sporadic basis, in the form of an occasional flier placed on all the tables before every tournament.  Especially for topics that seem to re-occur every so often. ( notice the '07 date on posting about showing hole cards )

who shows first?

In every casino I have ever played in the rules seem to be the same.

Tournys- The first person to the left of the dealer shows first.

Cash or ring- The person to initiate the last bet shows first.

Just my experience.

My understanding is exactly the same as yours.  The young stud to my left wanted to argue about it but I chose to ignore him.  I was the dealer so I make the call.Wink  I think I made the correct one.
